When I was a tiny baby, my family moved to Spring Hill, Florida, and that is where my story begins...
Spring Hill is a little town on the Gulf Coast, just north of Tampa. I grew up ten minutes from the beach. Thanks to Weeki Wachee Springs wanting to grow up to be a mermaid was perfectly acceptable, and every spring, pirates invaded Tampa Bay. Needless to say, I'm obsessed with mermaids, I want to be a pirate, and anything nautical reminds me of home.
Fast forward approximately 20 years...
I got married to my husband, Paul, in the middle of his one year overseas tour in Qatar/Afghanistan, and when he came back we moved to Ft. Hood Texas. We promptly made a baby, Dominic, and about 2 years later we moved here to Germany.
I've always been pretty crafty, my dad is an interior designer, artist, photographer and more... So it's there in my blood. Living in Europe threw me a curveball though. Craft supplies are EXPENSIVE over here. I already have photography as my expensive hobby, so I needed to really appreciate my materials. This also opened my eyes to repurposing! Which gives me crafting satisfaction on many levels!
